At Good News Fellowship we believe that God the Father has adopted humanity as his children, through his Son Jesus, in the power of his Spirit. Because of Jesus you already have a relationship with God and he loves you, likes you, and plans for you to be his child forever.

We have worship services every Sunday at the Stones River District Missionary Baptist Association building at 1401 Lischey Ave. (We aren’t part of the association but we are thankful they share their building with us!)

Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. we offer discipleship classes for those wishing to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. These are held downstairs and are open to visitors. Currently we have two classes–Growing in Christ for those new to the Christian faith and Grace Discipleship for more advanced students. Currently both classes are combined for a study/discussion of Wm. Paul Young’s book “Lies We Believe About God.”

Worship services begin upstairs in the chapel at 11 a.m. on Sunday, and include prayer, contemporary worship, responsive readings, scripture readings, a sermon and the celebration of communion, which all are welcome to participate in. After services, at 12:30 p.m., every Sunday we have Community Cafe – a free, home cooked meal for anyone who would like to sit down and eat with us.

On Wednesdays, we also have a small discussion group focused on building Christian community and sharing the love and life of Christ with others through service and friendship. Those attending are welcome to bring questions or topics for discussion, as well as snacks to share. Currently we are studying Cloud and Townsend’s book “Boundaries.”

After small group on Wednesdays about 6 p.m. we gather to pray for the Highland Heights neighborhood and Nashville community. Those who attend can participate through silent or oral prayer.
